I own the copyright to every design in this collection.
This collection is especially dominated by intricate organic forms, finely detailed animal, floral and leaf motifs.
Since almost every piece was created with the molding process in mind, the originals were made heavy enough that the designs from the molds tolerate the slight shrinkage that occurs upon reproduction.
I made a rubber mold of almost every casting I created over the forty two years of custom designing. Many castings were variations on some of my best motifs, a basic design varied to hold different numbers and sizes of gems that my clients wanted set, for example. In looking at the wax model photographs, notice many basic designs have numerous variations. These are the designs that consistently appealed most to retail clients. Some molds are of pieces that were so "customer specific" that they might never be produced as is, but can possibly be used as a basis for further designing. These molds I basically consider "free." Since I am offering every mold I ever made as one (group purchase) entity, these few molds can be used, or not, as you see fit. The value of the line is mainly in the majority of the designs and variations on those designs.
I am willing to consider continuing to produce more new wax models for this line, probably for a "per piece" fee, if the purchaser wants to add to the line.
The pieces that comprise the finished inventory part of this collection are set with finer gems, hand polished and showcase ready.
The gemstone settings in the designs that hold gems are an especially important factor in the quality of this collection. Since every piece was made by molding the wax around the gems being set, every setting is evenly spaced from the next, blended and sealed seamlessly into the surrounding design, with smooth, thick prong tips already curved and seats already carved. Several prongs were pulled back slightly in the wax model to allow the gem to be slipped into place in the finished casting. Moving the prongs back into place makes the setting level, even and solid. Even the channel set pieces have the seats individually carved and exactly spaced from the abutting gems with no tilting, overlaping or touching. With one channel edge already finished and over the setting and a slight excess of metal on the opposing side, that side can be burnished down easily with no gem movement, again resulting in level, even, solidly set gemstones.
I think it is important that, while creating the original wax models of these designs, I did fine finishing inside and outside. There are no gaps, cracks or holes. Even leaf and flower tips were smoothed and sealed. Loops on the pendants are big and thick, positioned for proper center of gravity.
